We are a non-profit after school and summer organization that stems directly off of giving the kids in our community a safe, fun and educational place. We offer an array of fun programs from S.T.E.M(science technology engineering and mathematics) to arts and crafts to junior chef and many many more fun and exciting programs. Come and join us at The Boys and Girls Club of Columbia Falls for a wonderfully exciting new school year full of fun, games and great educational programs.
The hours after school between 3:00 PM -6:00 PM is the most critical time of day for youth. Many youth in our community go unsupervised during these hours which can lead to unsafe situations and risky behavior. Studies show that youth that do not participate in an after-school program are more likely to drink alcohol and use drugs at an early age, be involved in a crime, or participate in early sexual behavior.
The benefits of participating in an after-school program can improve students� academic performance, improve classroom behavior, school attendance, academic aspirations and reduce the likelihood of a student dropping out of school. Students who participate in after-school programs have been associated with reduced drug use, criminal behavior, and positive health outcomes.
