School District 6 is geographically the largest school district in the state of Montana, covering a large portion of northern Flathead County. The district has about 2400 students in two elementary schools (Glacier Gateway and Ruder Elementary) one Junior High and one High School. Columbia Falls High School teams, students, teachers and coaches are famed statewide for carrying championships for several consecutive years in sports, speech and debate.
We are fortunate to have high quality continuing and post-secondary education available just 20 minutes away at the Flathead Valley Community College. FVCC has made a wonderful partner with our local communities by helping prepare students for future academic and skilled trades.
